Alpine kitchen: before and after.

A short, silent visual study from the B&Co. promotional archive. Historical footage, presented with current contact information.

Original film held in the 2018 promotional archive; this edition adds a current contact card. There is no spoken audio. The description below explains the visible sequence.

What changes in the film?

The opening frames show an unfinished wall around the cooking area. The transition reveals a white kitchen with a range below a stainless hood, a veined stone backsplash, fitted cabinetry, and open shelves. The before-and-after labels are part of the original film.

The useful comparison is the same elevation at two stages. The range and hood establish its center; the cabinet fronts and shelving organize the edges. Looking at the whole composition helps explain how a material choice relates to the appliances and storage around it.

What should a renovation brief establish?

Begin with the existing room and the proposed layout. Record what will stay, what will move, how the room will be used, and where different materials meet. A finished image is useful for discussing the intended result, while the project brief must also address the work behind it.

For that earlier stage, read Existing Conditions. For the meeting of finishes, read The Finished Edge. The B&Co. Design | Build page provides the current practice overview.
