So now you have decided to sell your home, what steps do you need to take before you list your home? B&Co. Realty has a checklist to prepare your home and to get you top dollar!

I. Hire a great real estate agent!

2. Make sure your first impression is a GOOD IMPRESSION.

Purchasing a home is one of the biggest if not the biggest investment of anyone's lifetime, yet it is also primarily based on emotion. People do judge a book by its cover; that is why we recommend making a few easy fixes before listing your home. Repairs that may add up to a few hundred dollars may cost you thousands during negations if they aren't taken care of.
Some suggestions are freshly painting your front door, adding flower pots, touching up or power washing the exterior.

3. Declutter and Depersonalize

Buyers want to envision themselves in your home. Think of this as an opportunity to start the packing process. Do a clean sweep of the countertops, windowsills, and tables. It's a perfect opportunity to do a garage sale or donate old or unused furniture and u clothes. If clothes are popping out of yor closets and drawers, it creates an illusion to buyers that there isn't enough space.

4. Repaint and touch up

Repaint your home in neutral colors. Your goal is to appeal to as many people as possible. Touch up scuff marks, clean your grout, and fix any loose handles. These small things add value to your home and give buyers less reason to negotiate the price.
