Alpine, New Jersey
Alpine is a small community offering privacy and prestige, an easy commute to New York City and three major airports, an excellent school system, extremely low taxes and an exceptional sense of community pride. The average home sale price is ranked amongst the highest in the nation. The borough’s name came from the wife of journalist Charles Nordhoff, who found the setting reminiscent of the Swiss Alps.

The Alpine Elementary School provides students with innovative and effective learning experiences serving students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Alpine prides itself as the public “private” school known for it’s highly diverse population, small classes sizes, low student-teacher ratio and personalized attention. The school cultivates a learning environment fostering intellectual rigor, academic achievement and appreciation for the arts.
For ninth through twelfth grades, public school students attend Tenafly High School in Tenafly as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Tenafly Public Schools.

Rockland Coaches provides service along Route 9W to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan on the 9T / 9AT routes and to the George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal on the 9 and 9A routes.
